We know some visits are shorter than others and are relatively straightforward, but if you find yourself settling in for a period of time, or are looking to relax a little further, we want you to feel comfortable. Key Milestones
2016
Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics opened for business on 2nd September 2016. September 19th 2016 our very first patient, Dorothy Cavaye, came to us pushing her walker to book a dental appointment while holding a promotional brochure she had received in the mail. She was our number one foundation patient and sadly passed away in 2022.
Supporting the local community was always very important to us and in October we became the official Sponsors for Ascot State School.
2017
The Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics team attended and supported the fundraising of the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation charity event in May. We were also the Major sponsors for Mekka Races Eagle Farm Brisbane Racing Club.
Our CEO, Ingrid Steven, started running in CEO fundraising events to support and raise awareness for Women’s Legal Services. She fundraised $7,459.21 for Women Legal services and came second out of 377 fundraisers. We also took part in Liptember, raising funds and support for women’s mental health.
In May of 2017 we had our first TV celebrity, Meghan Jarvis, from Channel 9’s Ninja Warrior!
2018
In 2018, we supported the Operation Smile fundraiser and donated our time, team and spare clinic space for Dresses for the Drought which was kindly founded by one of our patients. In less than 2 years of fundraising, we donated over $20,000 to Australian charities.
We also started getting famous ourselves! In 2018 we featured in North News, the Courier Mail and ABC Radio. Our CEO, Ingrid Steven, was also named one of the top influential business women in Brisbane by Style Magazine.
We also had a cocktail party to celebrate our first 2 years of business.
2019
Kingsford Smith Drive closed (and remained closed for another 20 months). Ingrid gave several interviews with ABC Radio, CH7 and local newspapers about the devastating effects this closure had on local businesses.
Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics itself also featured in News Corp, Courier Mail, Brisbane Times, on 7 News Queensland, and 4BC Radio.
2020
Kingsford Smith Drive finally opened and Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics survived the closure. Many businesses around us very sadly collapsed due to this closure, but we stayed strong!
On 28th March 2020 Covid-19 began to impact the community. We survived closures, our staff and patients stayed safe when we were allowed to open and our business grew even more after NSW & VIC people relocated to QLD.
In 2018, 2019 and 2020 we were also awarded the Top Cosmetic Dentist in Brisbane by Style Magazine.
2021
In 2021, we took part in the inaugural One In Four Children fundraiser gala and started our ongoing partnership with them.
In July this year we also had one of our biggest celebrity visits from Tammin Sursok, who starred in Pretty Little Liars.
2022
Our trophy cabinet also started filling up! Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics was awarded the most popular dentist in 2020, 2021 and 2022 in Ascot, Hamilton, Clayfield, and Hendra (Community Noticeboard) Facebook with over 20,800 community members voting for us.
Ingrid and the team planned a fundraising event for One In Four Children and proudly raised $12,000 for the charity.
On October 5th 2022 Julius the Chihuahua was born and joined Racecourse Road Dental & Orthodontics in December as PA to Ingrid, our CEO.
2023
Our CEO, Ingrid Steven, also visited Nakuru Hope Orphanage in Kenya to spend some time learning about their work and to raise awareness. We now sponsor two children from the orphanage and continue to support Nakuru Hope with an ongoing relationship.
Our Creative Director, Etienne Steven, featured on Channel 7’s The Voice and went viral on social media, doing us all very proud!
On September 2nd 2023 we celebrated our 7 year anniversary and saw the launch of our brand new website!
